Lets you view and control your Android on your computer.
As the 1st line implies, with this Android App/Chrome extension combo you can show and control your Android device on your computer, but you can also used it copy/paste text between the 2, take screen shots, record videos of your Android device (although that could probably also be done using a software on your computer).

Why do I love this extension:

I find it brilliant for doing presentations, teaching about Android devices, on a big screen so the audience can see what I do on my Droid device.
All you need is to install the Chrome extension, enable USB debugging and plug your Droid to your computer.

● ThemeClassic Blue Theme (back to 50)

posted 10 Feb 2017, 16:15 by Dominique Cressatti   [ updated 14 Feb 2017, 12:56 ]

Since you've upgraded Chrome, do you miss the old blue look?
If like me you do, then install the following extension:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/classic-blue-theme-back-t/jammgopjmlachkjhifkdjccbphdcapei

Official Description:

In Chrome 51, Chrome's Classic Theme turned gray on Windows and Linux. This theme brings back the blue colors from Chrome 50. Unlike the other "Classic blue theme" extension in the Chrome Web Store, this extension does not change any other style, so you will get the modern classic theme - i.e. Chrome 50's Classic Theme

● Arc Welder

A tool to help you test and publish your Android Apps to Chrome OS using the App Runtime for Chrome (beta), ARC.
See https://developer.chrome.com/apps/getstarted_arc for more detailed instructions.
For questions about ARC Welder or ARC's capabilities, join us on Stack Overflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/tagged/google-chrome-arc?sort=newest
Please file bugs at: http://goo.gl/megdlG

Note: If you do not have any ARC Apps, installing ARC Welder will automatically download and install ARC, a large one time download.

Why do I love this extension:
Aquamail being my favorite Android App because among other things it support multiple email accounts at the same time and aggregates the incoming emails of all those accounts into a single virtual inbox (Smart Folder), Arc Welder allows me to run AquaMail on my desktop. As a picture is worth a thousand words, a screen shot will give you a better idea of what I'm trying to convey.

While Arc Welder may not be able to properly run all the Android Apps, I believe that most Apps which don't need access to the Android file system will work fine.

● Adguard AdBlocker

posted 6 Jan 2017, 14:08 by Dominique Cressatti   [ updated 11 Feb 2017, 12:49 ]

An extension against advertising and pop-ups. Blocks ads on Facebook, Youtube and all other websites.
Adguard AdBlocker effectively blocks all types of advertising on all web pages, even on Facebook, Youtube, and others!

What Adguard AdBlocker does:

1. Blocks all ads including:
- Video ads (including Youtube video ads)
- Rich media advertising like video ads, interstitial ads and floating ads
- Unwanted pop-ups
- Banners and text ads (including Facebook advertisements)
2. Speeds up page loading and saves bandwidth, thanks to the missing ads and pop up windows
3. Blocks many spyware, adware and dialer installers (optional)
4. Protects your privacy by blocking common third-party tracking systems (optional)
5. Protects you from malware and phishing (optional)

Why Adguard AdBlocker is better than Adblock or AdBlock Plus?

1. Adguard AdBlocker is really fast and lightweight. It uses half as much memory as other popular solutions: Adblock, Adblock Plus, and even outperform uBlock.
2. Adguard can handle Anti-AdBlock scripts. You won't have to turn off the AdBlocker anymore to be able to visit the websites that are using such scripts. Just send a complaint to our tech support and we'll handle it.
3. Adguard is simply better looking and modern.

How Adguard AdBlocker can protect your privacy?

Just enable "Spyware and tracking filter" in Adguard's settings. It completely removes all forms of tracking from the internet. Adguard has one of the largest tracker filter containing more than 5,000 rules. It is even larger than the databases Ghostery® and Disconnect have.

How to remove Social Media with Adguard?

Tired of all the «Like» buttons and similar widgets infesting all of your frequented web pages? Just enable Adguard's "Social media filter" and forget about them.

How Adguard AdBlocker can protect you from online threats?

At the moment we’ve got more than 1,800,000 harmful web sites on record. Adguard can block domains known to spread malware, protecting your computer against viruses, Trojan horses, worms, spy- and adware. Adguard really lowers risk of virus infections and prohibits access to harmful websites to prevent potential attacks.

Why do I love this extension:

Simple. Who loves to be bombarded of pop-ups pushing you to play online games when you try to read a serious article, Ads from Amazon or other shopping sites based on what you may have been browsing or even worst, lewd pictures?

● Popup HTML Editor

posted 6 Jan 2017, 14:05 by Dominique Cressatti   [ updated 10 Feb 2017, 16:26 ]

A full featured WYSIWYG HTML Editor For Chrome.
The 'Popup HTML Editor' is an application that allows you to create WYSIWYG HTML documents from a popup window, inside the Chrome browser.

You can add all the HTML elements from the advanced toolbar of the application, such as: text bold, add image, set the paragraph, add links and much more. Clicking the HTML button will show you the HTML tags on a new window.

All that and more, by a few mouse click, fast and easy.

Why do I love this extension:

Because it allows me to quickly hack some HTML, either from the WYSIWYG interface or raw code HTML and quickly check out the result.
